天秤 by itself just means balance (scales used for weighing).
EDICT gives 天秤宮 for the sign of the Zodiac, but 天秤座 for the constellation. I don't know whether this distinction is actually observed in ordinary use of the language, or even whether it is accurate.
The 宮 of 天秤宮 is pronounced "kyuu," and means a Shinto shrine, a palace, or (confusingly, if the distinction above is accurate) a constellation.
I'll see what I can find out in other dictionaries.
O_O I'm glad I don't have any tattoos. I saw a segment on the TV show "How it's Made" and all those needles made me cringe. But then again I fainted once when my blood was drawn. I guess tattoos are not for some people.
