Do the two of you know about the following fundamentals? If not, you need to read an introduction to the game, and I'll find you one (probably at one of the Go Association sites).

(1) A group needs two "eyes" to live.
(2) A stone placed on the first line beneath an enemy stone on the second line can usually be killed (unless there are other stones nearby to support it).
(3) The same for a stone placed on the second line when it is next to an enemy stone on the second line and beneath an enemy stone on the third line.
(4) There is a tactic called a "ladder" which can sometimes be used to drive an enemy stone diagonally towards an edge of the board, forcing a capture.
(5) In a fight between two groups each of which is trying to surround the other, the crucial question is how many "liberties" each group has. (A liberty is any empty space adjacent to the stones of the group-- so a single isolated stone in the center of the board has 4 liberties, for example, and two adjacent stones in the center of the board have 6 liberties.)

(1) is the most important. In addition, it is good to know which small shapes guarantee that one can make two eyes (for example, four empty spaces in a row inside the group, or "bent four" anywhere except in the corner-- "bent four" is three empty spaces in a row, and one empty space adjacent to one of the end spaces.

I've read the instructions but it is kind of hard, it would be cool if I could find someone who could teach me one on one... It would be awsome if you could find some Instuctions that might be a little easier then the ones I've read.

Tell me what you've read, or give me a link to it, so that I can see what I need to compare other possibilities to. Also, please ask any specific questions you may have, and I'll do my best to answer them.

A posting is fine; an e-mail message is also fine. Whatever you prefer. If you send an e-mail message, I'll copy my response to エーさん.
