How come posting views are freakishly high when replies to the posts are relatively small?

I guess you mean the views/replies statistics in this forum?
Well, I think some part of it is just natural behavior on the Internet. A lot of people just browse through sites, without participating. And there are about 15000 people a month visiting this site, so it easily adds up.
Additionally, I think some topics, like anime and music, contains keywords that bring a lot of people from search engines directly to the thread.
