Re:My learning Japanese progress thread 3 Months ago

Today I took a review test to see if I remembered the first 7 characters (kanji) that I am learning, also included were the additional compound words that I am learning to increase my vocabulary. So, how well did I do. I didn't score 100%. But I'm going to move on to another kanji today.

The lesson name is "Let's Eat".
なにがたべましょう (nani ga tabemashou)

The new kanji today is:

八 eight

やっ。つ, ハチ、 ハッ

八つ やっつ eight
八 はち eight

八月 はちがつ August
八百 はっぴゃく eight hundred
八日 ようか the eight (date) (for) eight days

Well, now it's off to rememberville and take another review quiz

The Japanese lesson that I am learning is "Let Eat"
なにがたべましょう (nani ga tabemashou)

Today's new kanji that I am learning is:

十 ten

とお、 ジュウ、 (ジッ / ジュッ)

十 とお ten
十 じゅう ten
十一 じゅういち eleven
三十 さんじゅう thirty

十日 とおか the tenth (date) (for) ten days
十一円 じゅういちえん eleven yen
十分 じゅっぷん ten minutes
二十日 はつか the twentieth (date) (for) twenty days

for 分 (ふん and ぷん are used), but for now that is all I know about it.

Well, need to study on this one. If you are following all the 10 kanji that I have been learning, you'll see that with the additional kanji posted, one can add upon it and increase their kanji vocabulary. At least that is what I'm trying to do

To type a small つ (that is, to type っ) by itself, type "xtu" or "xtsu" .

The same goes for any other small kana; for example, xya, xyu, and xyo give ゃ , ゅ , ょ , xa gives ぁ , etc.

So to type じゅっ , type "juxtu" and to type じっ , type "jixtu" .

The Japanese (1st) lesson that I am learning is called: "Let's Eat"
なにがたべましょう (nani ga tabemashou)

Today's new kanji (actually it's not new, I've seen this kanji for years )

百 hundred

ヒャク, ( ビャク ) ( ピャク )

百 ひゃく one hundred
四百 よんひゃく four hundred
三百 さんびゃく three hundred
六百 ろっぴゃく six hundred
八百 はっぴゃく eight hundred

九百円 きゅうひゃくえん nine hundred yen
何百 なんひゃく how many hundreds; hundreds of ~

Can someone give me an example on how to use ( 何百 )in a sentence, please.

*note, that the hundred changes sometimes for 3,6 and 8 hundred.
I'm sure there is more to this and if you know, let me know and I'll edit this post. Thanks
